If Stetson has impacted your life,
we invite you to join the Stetson Society
and share your story.
What is the Stetson Society?
Through this society, the university recognizes individuals who inform us they have included Stetson in their estate plan. All Stetson Society members are invited to special events, and they have their names included in the society listing displayed in historic DeLand Hall.
Why join the Stetson Society?
Many alumni, parents of alumni, faculty and friends—like Dr. Willa Dean Lowery '48—chose to leave a lasting legacy affirming their passion for education. Some like Carl Gipson '58—who benefited from a Stetson scholarship and would not have realized his dream of going to college otherwise—chose to pay it forward by leaving a gift for Stetson in his will in appreciation for his experience. Others have chosen to remember loved ones by doing so.
Ways to become a member:
- Include Stetson as a beneficiary of your will or trust.
- Name Stetson as a beneficiary of your life insurance, IRA or retirements accounts.
- Establish a gift that pays YOU income for life through a charitable remainder trust or charitable gift annuity.
